In accordance with the requirement to complete assessment on site, WAF’s have been enhanced to include additional assessment and to provide for the on site assessment of the site induction. Accordingly, bookings will be made via the induction website at the same time as booking the site induction.

Participants who have completed the Core induction will also be required to commence their Workplace Skills Validation (WSV) at the same time as they do their WAF.

How do I enrol in a course?

Contractors can enrol via the Enrol in a course menu at the same time as enrolling in the Site Induction.

BMA employees must complete a Training Course Enrolment form and forward to the Training and Development team via the designated process.

How much does the course cost?

Core Induction (3 day event) $850
(Recommended if you have current Site induction and sop’s)

Core Induction (3 day event), Site Induction, SOP’s (4 hour event) and WAF (3 hour event on site) Package $950
(Recommended for new starters or contractors new to BMA)

Site Induction, SOP’s (4 hour event) & WAF (3 hour event on site) $150
(Recommended for employees and contractors who have a current BMA Core or SGS and are changing site or require a refresher)

How do I access Site to do My WAF?

Your Site Escort must register you as a Visitor with the Site Access Centre so you will be able to access site to complete your WAF

What time do I need to arrive to the course?

Please ensure to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time listed on your confirmation letter so there is time to collect your visitors card.

What do I need to bring to the WAF?

You must wear full PPE or have your Escort arrange for it to be available for your collection at the Site Access Centre. Photo identification is also required. The BMA Fit for Work Policy applies to attendance on this course.

What happens if I can’t attend on the day?

Contact your Escort so they can advise the Training department.

Do I need to complete anything else after this course?

Yes, the Site induction course & WAF are only the first part of the process you may be required to complete other familiarisations and task specific training before you will be able to commence work.
